Rescue Diver

Become the Diver Everyone Wants in the Water

The PADI® Rescue Diver course is a true turning point in your diving journey—and for many divers, it’s their favorite course for a reason. At Great American Divers, we take Rescue training to the next level by starting in our private, heated indoor AquaCenter before heading to open water training at Mermet Springs.

Your training begins in our AquaCenter, where you’ll build skills in a controlled, comfortable environment. This allows you to slow things down, ask questions, repeat scenarios, and truly understand why you’re doing what you’re doing—before adding the variables of open water. Once you’re confident, we take those skills to Mermet Springs and put them into real-world practice.

Benefits of our in-depth training approach include:

  • Increased confidence before entering open water
  • More realistic, hands-on emergency scenario practice
  • Better muscle memory through repetition in a controlled setting
  • Reduced stress and stronger situational awareness
  • Smoother transitions from practice to real dive environments

Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to recognize potential issues early, respond calmly to emergencies, and become a stronger dive buddy and leader—all while working closely with instructors who know you and support your growth.

As an added value, Emergency Oxygen Provider training is included in the course fee, giving you another essential skill that benefits every dive community.

This course isn’t about fear—it’s about preparedness, confidence, and empowerment. You’ll leave Rescue Diver feeling sharper, more capable, and proud of the diver you’ve become.

Train smarter. Dive safer. Have fun doing it.
